Christina Wagoner, LCPC

“Growth can be painful, change can be painful. But nothing is as painful as staying stuck somewhere that you don’t belong” -C. Spurgeon

Everyone needs help processing at different times in their life; I utilize multiple treatment modalities in my daily practice based upon your individual needs, personality, and background to help you do so. As your therapist, I can help guide you in finding clarity from difficult life events and empower you in being successful through all of life’s challenges.

I work with clients of many needs and backgrounds; however my specialties include trauma, loss, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, low self-esteem, communication problems, and distress tolerance.  My goal is to help my clients learn to cope with the problems and stress they may be experiencing and to help them identify ways to alleviate these issues.

I have provided therapy in a variety of settings including private practice, residential treatment centers and intensive outpatient centers for adults, families, adolescents, and children.  I have training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, extensive training in EMDR and  Dialectical Behavior Therapy.  In addition to my education and formal training, my personal life experiences and compassion for others, has provided me with the ability to display genuine empathy and concern for the well-being of my clients without judgment.
While making the first step into therapy can be a difficult one, I will be there to support you throughout your journey with understanding, validation and compassion.
